2degrees, new mobile company in the NZ

My girlfriend is from New Zealand, and has told me a bout a new company in the not so competitive NZ mobile market.
2degrees is a movile provider in new zealand. 5 August 2009 after 9 years of planning. The have had aggressive marketing campaigns targeting the perceived lack of competition and consumer choice in mobile phones.
From what I understand, their texting service isnt as good as vodafone's, one of their two competitors. They have a plan that allows 2000 texts a month for 10 dollars NZ. What you need to understand is that these kids in new zealand, all they do is text. No calls, just fucking texts. Apparently when telecom, the other competitor, got rid of it's 10 dollar text plan, vodafone's sales skyrocketed.
They also got the flight of the conchords guy promoting it
